If you ever have to renew an SSL certificate for IIS or whatever platform, even if you get a renewal CSR generated, and try to download and install and apply it... you might have problems.
Regardless of the PFX or P12 generate, always regen and rekey your SSL certificate in order for it to work and install and apply properly.
Don't ask why, just do it. You'll save yourself alot of headaches and hours.
