In the past year, motherboards for gaming have come with some great onboard WIFI capabilities. However, our research shows to not buy a motherboard with built-in WIFI. Why?
Because the future of WIFI is always uncertain and why brick a motherboard because of the WIFI and the overhead on the board, just get a WIFI external adapter, like an AC1300 capable of true 100Mb or 1000Mbs transfer and throughput performance on 2.4GB, 5Ghz or what have you in the future.
It's easier to just unplug the USB and move it between systems as well as needed, just like we don't install optical drives in computers with you use them like once or twice per month, and an external USB optical drive works just fine and is portable and just as fast.
