SQL security and permissions revisited

In the past few months, working on mySQL and MariaDB, the permissions can get a bit tricky.
using the root account is not the best. usually you have to create a new user for your specific database (schema) and apply that.
what is interesting are the log files that show more permission issues that I have ever experienced rather than in MSSQL.
Oh well, just get used to the mySQL workbench, and the flavor of MariaDB or mySQL underneath and you'll be fine. It does take a while to get used to the interfaces and the workbench is not as good as MS SQL t-sql and SMS Studio.
