SQL on Linux - very frustrating

In the past 3 months, I have had the fun to try and get all my Microsoft SQL Server stuff converted to mySQL, MariaDB, and other IDE/T-SQL types of usage and its been chaos. Its absolutely chaos!!
 
All the installers, configurations, security measures, import/export tools, methods are crazy bad.
 
You have to be an absolute rocket scientist (oh, wait - that's sort of me), to get this to work without too many errors, flaws, etc.
 
Frustrated? Yes! Even all the support boards and docs are full of crazy workarounds and admission of issues on just about every Linux distribution and open source SQL platform.
 
Standby - i'll figure it out eventually.
