Why an m.2 2280 NVMe drive versus a 2.5 inch SSD drive

The more and more I look at pricing, the NVMe m.2 2280 1TB hard drive is the same price as an equivalent 2.5 inch SSD, yet 5 times faster.
The SSD comes in at 600MB/s and the NVMe comes in at 3500MB/s. That's 5-6 times faster for the same price.
So, if your motherboard supports it, the m.2 2280 slot and you have an existing SSD, you can clone the SSD 2.5" to an m.2 2280 and boot to the NVMe instead and gain 5-6 times the speed.
I thought over time the switch to SSD would mature and it has. Now is the time to shift to m.2 2280 NMVe as the new standard.
Just like 32GB DDR4 single RAM chips are the new standard (per my opinion and lastest builds for the last 5 months). The price per gigabyte is lower and you get yourself away from the 8 and 16GB or DDR3 or DDR4 mentality.
Oh yeah, the 1TB SAMSUNG EVO 970 NVMe is what I have chosen. Beware, the NMVe m.2 is not the same as the SSD m.2. They almost look the same yet you have to use different USB3 adapters to clone an m.2 NVMe versus m.2 SATA SSD. they almost look the same yet they are not.
