Re-organize myBlog for searching, grouping and topic

So, we are now after 6 months looking at grouping, searching and topic elements for myBlog
I have wanted this since we started yet how do you sort 2 things, ha! wait until you have 2000 things to sort, group, and itemize does the applicability come to bear.
So, how do we do this without being hacked? avoid SQL injection, avoid DDOS etc. What do you do? thoughts?
Icons and Graphics we have researched for nearly 3 months and pre- post- search functionality was always considered... so stand by... it's still myBlog, after all.
