All my life there has been a mailbox at the edge of the property of my home. When I was a kid, the first thing in the afternoon from school getting off the bus was to walk to the mailbox, and get the mail and walk it in to the kitchen and set it on the table.
Save the Stamp™ is about saving money that is spent on stamps. It could also be about communicating in a way that does not allow the chance that the message is lost, not received or damaged, from sender to receiver.
Save the Stamp™ is not about forgetting or replacing those mail pick and delivery memories, nor the stamp licking process, or digging for that last stamp in the drawer, but recalling where and why the stamp found its way into my life. Without the stamp, the mail in the mailbox would not have existed.
So what is "Save the Stamp™" ? It's about saving the taxpayer money and providing a guaranteed electronic means for anyone to communicate with another that is safe, trusted and secure.
Is the mail today those three things? I would say 99% of the time. That 1% is how much junk mail we get today. That amount gets larger around the holidays and was the advertisements we called, were those always junk? Not really. It was always a great cost and pleasure to send recipients catalogs and flyers of good things that were available and what was going to occur in your town or city that you could enjoy. That same joy continues today for the most part.
So what is the electronic version of Save The Stamp™? It's not about email but in 1965 when email was first invented it was the right idea. Then came spam and malware and viruses in our email. That 1% became more like 80%.
