Again, Microsoft is forcing, me, a brain surgeon like IT professional and systems architect and engineer,  to work on hang nail like IT support issues. I have better things to do than waste my time fixing stupid results of bugs like this in the field. Come on Microsoft!!!

I have had only 2 calls (more likely coming) on this in the last 48 hours, but it's a pain. I actually remoted into their system, realized the profile was there and not correctly pointed at, went into the registry NT profilelist and swapped the .bak and existing profile entries and rebooted. it worked once, and then the update bug hit the same computer again, and I repeated the process, not knowing the windows update bug was at play.

Don't get me wrong, I love windows 10 for being free the first year, then being a cost for 3 years, and now free again in 2020, all for a little or alot of privacy loss  c/o of telemetry etc..

Oh well, another day, another windows update bug that appears to wipe out user data and their profile and settings when in fact, I have no idea why Microsoft allows this type of bug to exist in the first place.

What is going on up in Redmond?

You expect me and force me to get off Windows 7 and then repeat all the idiot moves from the early days of Vista in an operating system named Windows 10 that has been out since summer 2015. What happened to Development QA and Development Test teams?

With all this being said, maybe that is why I am on Linux Mint 19.3 now and replaced my Intel chip with an AMD chip. Intel, Microsoft, wow, they have all had great decades of success, and now this. Maybe I too am getting too old to keep up with the world. Microsoft, Intel, passe? AMD, Linux, the future from here on out? Maybe. Let's see.

more to come...
