So what goes into your Server Rack? We used to have 3 each 44U racks in our location, about 2/3 full on each, and when we migrated our servers and applications to the cloud, that mostly went away. We did keep 1 44U rack and now have repopulated it with 3 each 4U servers and 1 each 2U power processing system (HPC).

The power is simple, a 1500W APC power unit, and a 4 each KVM input in a 24" 2U KVM tray.

What is left? Oh, the router and switch and operating systems.

a Sonicwall TZ400, a DLINK 16 port Gigi managed switch, and 2 each 4U server holds 2019 Server Standard, 16GB RAM, 8 core AM4, 500GB SSD, 4TB RAID 10, and that's about it. 1 of the 4U servers hold Centos 7 x64 with the same hardware. the HPC is a little secret.

that's it...
