Try Deepin OS, and yes, Made in China.
One should read the security versus privacy background for this OS and what the CIA, NSA and US government have to say about it, and how the open source community sees the distribution as a trusted and secure platform. Which Linux distribution the Chinese Government choose for their own once they drop Microsoft Windows will be just as interesting.
I am a Linux Mint die hard yet Deepin is fast, gorgeous UI and robust.
one caveat - the annoying startup and shutdown sounds that sort of startles you if your speaker volume is up..
you have to try it, standalone or in a VM.
