When you get the request at the last minute to change over an office scan print copier device times 2 (x2) in 48 hours, it becomes quite fun! I love the challenge.
so, here we go.
Step 1. get the address book off the old device
Step 2. make sure the old ip address and the new ip address are different
Step 3. download the software to the local server per site for the new device
Step 4. confirm new IP address and access to import and add address book from old device
Step 5. confirm one account on the new device can do all scan, print, access scans, etc..
Step 6. create documentation and confirm setup instructions
Step 7. hand off to stakeholders and smart hands folks
