It has been 15 years since my MBA and a quick crash course refresher this weekend was fun, on the finance and business operations side.
It's funny, while working businesses and running the numbers daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly, one forgets the terms and words that we just take for granted.
Take a pop quiz online for some industry that has an MBA requirement and you will quickly relearn what you know in practice versus what you know by the book.
note: Some of the latest refreshers on MBA subjects are still using some of the old terms versus the adapted new forms of business operations, finance and leadership. It's okay. It is better to have a rooted grasp of a concept rather than no concept at all.
