We are taking the opportunity to purchase some RX-570 and RX-580 AMD video cards that are on sale right now, and we appreciate the 50% discounts bringing the $300 cards down to $140.
We have 1050's on some systems for light work, and we don't need anything heavier and higher powered. the 1060's should start to come down and the RX-590 and the VEGA 64 should start to come down.
no, we are not doing 1080Ti and 2080 bench marking. we do not have a need for those caliber of video cards in our work space. high end videographers, virtual reality engineering, and competitive gamers, aviation and other forms of super landscape, DNA cloud research, HPC (UNR Pronghorn), and protein folding, nuclear and earth sciences, might have a reason to use them...
