So you make a internal system password change for an integration email application, and you forget to change the password in all affected applications and you get this...
CDO.Message.1 error '80040213'
The transport failed to connect to the server.
well the easy part is changing the password and when it still fails, the error message could be a false positive, and your email server has auto-ban enabled and that email account from that IP address is in the ban list.
just be sure to delete the auto-ban entry and all is well.
turning on the asp debugging client server and detailed helps too, and error 500 page handler to detailed helps too..
