Finiky sprinkler systems like the one I just fixed are just like some of the finiky PCs I work on.
Why would a sprinkler system not work 3 weeks ago when summer really started, so I was hand watering everything for 3 weeks, and then suddenly, an epiphany comes over me, and I realize... I know what is going on, and go fix the sprinkler system.
Just like PCs that are misbehaving. Give it time. They will come around.
