I was helping a few folks understand the difference between vendor and contract management.
vendor management; you are basically managing a relationship between your organization and other organizations. that's easy.
contract management; you are basically managing the performance of the deliverables to a contract.
do both involve people? yes. do both have different requirements? yes.
which one is more fun? well, if you are a people person, choose the vendor management one. if you are a pencil pusher and anal retentive choose the contract management one.
