US Trade and Tariffs negotiations - long term vs short term

Be strong Americans and be strong America. We have much work to do. 
  
In the past six months, the trade and tariff activity, threats, negotiations, and rebuttals have come at a cost and a gain for both short and long term.
 
When was the last time a sitting US President threatened another country with tariffs in order to stop activities?
 
This is different than when was the last time US President threatened a country with sanctions.
 
are tariffs and trade wars different than sanctions, or are they the same?
 
Congress might weigh in and say, hey, that is our job, or maybe the President says, wait a minute; you're taking too long and too slow. Let me help you out.
 
The stock market is definitely being played, but when has it not been played by domestic and foreign turmoil.
 
So, if you started investing and your at a loss for your value in right now, just wait a little while longer. The game of risk can be played so long.
