You don't see this every day. I just reloaded a G60 HP Pavilion laptop for a student going from Windows 7 home 64 bit to Windows 10 home 64 bit, from a 320GB SATA 5 year old drive to a 120GB HP SSD, and on the reload, also bumped his RAM from 2GB to 4GB.
Well guess what, all was fine except the sound.
Why? because HP reported that G60 models with Windows 10 having greater then 3072MB (3GB) of RAM will not play the sound, no audio drivers will work. What that??? I said.
Okay, back down from 4GB to 3GB of RAM DDR2 6400, and sound works. nuff said. weird. thanks HP!
