So the shoe dropped and the March 12, 2019 update is finally hitting the windows desktops via direct or WSUS methods. Be sure to make a note, Update # 4490628 is a necessary update to support Windows 7 security updates past July 2019. One can look through the update history for this bad boy.. ending in ....0628..
there is a hiccup noted in the release and you should just read it carefully and don't freak out... If you experience this issue, press Ctrl+Alt+Delete to continue to log on. This should occur only one time and does not prevent updates from installing successfully.
oh.. ps... if you are still running Windows 2008 R2 Server, you need to start migrating up and off of that unless it is non-Internet facing, then you can sit tight and relax a little, just a little. Backups are your only salvation.
