For those of you who train clients on project management and practice it for the last 30+ years like me, this EVM overview is pretty slick. I like how it is laid out for the beginner and the advanced.
for myself, leading the growth of companies to the tune of $4 billion profit, $500 million saved and 500+ Tier #1 projects I have experienced and led in the past 20 years, it has been great to see this kind of explanation for those so busy to see the teacher student notes and curriculum designed and built to offer better guidance for those coming up through the ranks in PMP.
I don't have a PMP certificate, just the school of hard knocks, applied theory, 360 degree applied correction actions, root cause analysis, improvement circles, quality management, vision, mission, strategy, master planning and more... mostly school of hard knocks without too much knocking.. great mentors, great projects, hard projects, MBA Technology Management, BS computer systems engineering, etc..
Government supply chain management on steroids experiences. the military experience was the most awesome..
