2080 vs 1080 pricing drop

For the first time, I saw the 2080 graphics card become available in the promotion aisle of Newegg online.

 

Starting at $799 for the 2080, the previous 1080 edition was a staggering $200 less.

 

My hope is that with the 2080 release the 1080 line will drop below $300 relatively fast.
