It was about a month ago, when I heard the phrase, "High Value Work" and said, hmmmm.. is that what I am doing or not? I would say 80% of my day is doing that, and 20% is not.

Oddly enough, there are lots of people around you who are energy sucks and don't add to your well being, but rather distract you for their own benefit, and then leave you like a dried up dead husk on the side of the road. Too dramatic of a description? Not really.

So what is high value work? Usually it is that which brings great value to others through your work. To you, the one, benefits are abundant.

The low value work should not be allowed. Try to describe to yourself what is low value work? That which others can do for you that they enjoy and you not so necessarily?

For me, high value work is that which benefits me the most. I have a short list of that. My wifey and I agree on certain high value work items and we both have a few low value items, but those are rare and few between us.

One method I always ask is "RISK versus REWARD". The reward must always exceed the risk, and the risk must remain low to zero.
