basically, if an MSI is launched without full permissions and the Everyone user does not have FULL permissions on the window temp and users profile temp folder, the installation will fail with error 2503 and/or error 2502. the REF video shows how I work around it (no audio), just get to an admin cmd prompt and launch the MSI and voila, otherwise change perms on the %temp% and c:\windows\temp folder to include everyone full perms.

Andrew Jackson Wilson another day in paradise - the issue is with permissions of the application being installed or removed. if the app does not have admin privileges or the Everyone Full rights is not set on c:\windows\temp directory, them bam! Error 2503. seen it for like the last 5 years and even my GGPCTU software has learned how to work around and deal with it, but not the latest Apple framework and iTunes. instant BSOD crapola. TGIF!
