I needed to move to SQL Server 2025 for the Azure Friday's post on I previously shared (REF 1)

I am currently running SQL server 2022 and SSMS 20.

Well, since SQL Server 2025 is now out and SSMS 22 is out, I decided to upgrade and update my research systems.

Problem: Installation failure missing Visual C++ failed on missing the following. Well, the repair was applied, and nada. Well, the re-installation failed. Well, what do I do?

Solution: After 1 day of removing everything SQL, I realized, just uninstall both and then reboot and then re-install and reboot. The crux of the matter; uninstalling Visual C++ Redistribution for Visual Studio 2022, for x64 and x86 and re-installing worked. Then re-attempt install of SQL Server 2025 and that worked!
