Did you know if you wanted to learn a language quickly, the free training materials from the Peace Corps is the way to go. I tried #7 and #8 lately, and of course DuoLingo prior to, and of course the Rosetta Stone prior to that.

Here are the resources that I suggest:

1. DuoLingo for self-paced learning

2. Babbel (Babel) for self-paced learning

3. Rosetta Stone for retail and full package products, and online

4. YouTube for crash courses and locals tips and cultural tips from natives and experts

5. Pimsleur for world class training for major organizations and agencies

6. Amazon or Ebay for training materials that are slightly used and worth the effort and inexpensive

7. Peace Corps for Ilocano is a great resource (PDF workbook, download) *

8. Peace Corps for Tagalog is another great resource (PDF workbook, download) *

* The Peace Corps resources are pretty thorough to get you started quickly.
