Going back a few years, the research I was conducting on DNS data was extensive. In fact, the performance to process web data was exhaustive. While the research continues, the privacy matters of DNS open data has changed.
In the past 36 months our organization has pivoted and changed, coming out of COVID-19, we stopped our primary research, and took a long pause. Now that the pause is over, we can continue, yet Rapid7 has changed their discretionary release of warehouse data and we are in the process of finishing our re-application to gain access to their open data sets.
While Rapid7 has been immensely helpful in the past, we appreciate their new cautionary measures to prevent open data from being misused by bad actors. In our case, we are an ethical organization based on usage of open data sets for the betterment of our world, public and community.
Stand by while we continue to re-engage our primary Internet research based on Rapid7 DNS open data sets.
