Today, more application testing continues for a new application for a construction company. It is devised between a small team of us, me doing the database architecture and programming, some of the C# programming, and two others working on VB.Net and C++ components.
It's funny; 3 languages to complete the task - which is fine with me. The components are loosely coupled which makes maintenance and orchestration of CI/CD easy.
A colleague at Microsoft said the TDD needs to be considered and while I do believe in Test Driven Development; it depends. The programmers I work with are pretty solid in their functionality and design, and I ensure inline code quality is done at the time of design, development and test. Our logs are debugging is very solid. One of the new languages which I have not moved to is Rust to replace C++ yet JavaScript, Python and Java are always available for us to use.
For us three, the agile / scrum of things is simple, light and fast. The cool part is our test platform is a beta production system, and we get to try it on a sandbox on a production systems. Amazing construction tools are fun to work on. I had to do some HVAC BACnet programming a month ago for an airport client and that was interesting.
