Today is the day where all the components for the AMD 5950X versus the existing AMD 3950X will be tested.
Its not everyday I move my research platform from an AMD 8/16 core-thread in 2014 to 16/32 core-thread in 2019 to another 16/32 core-thread in 2022, and guess what?! Let's see!!
I am super excited. It is like my Birthday present, 4th of the July Celebration, Christmas present all combined in one for like 3 years.
here are my parts for the 5950X build:
1. Puget Systems case from a client upgrade / donation
2. X570 vs B550 MSI Board - I have both
3. AMD 5950X CPU - oh yeah, mama!
4. Noctua ND15 12 pipe cooling
the rest is not relevant - yet it will be 16-32-64GB of Corsair Vengeance 3200 DDR4, and then Samsung 500GB or 1TB NVMe m.2 and the PSU, well, that's a Gigabyte 650W, and my video is an MSI or XFX 4GB.
