the year was 1997, October 22, and that was my last day at Microsoft. I gave them 90 days noticed and handed off everything. It was an uneventful departure.
I actually tried to leave Microsoft back in 1993, but cancelled my resignation when things at home changed. I should have gone with my first thought and left, but then again, looking back and rethinking things probably is not a good idea.
Relocating to Winnemucca, Nevada from Snohomish Washington was a very interesting journey.
we had dialup for the Internet and that was all I needed.
