I did not know this until I ran across a Pinterest pin about the Lost States of the US. I could have been born in the Great State of Jefferson had history old, past, and present and maybe future.
Redistricting is one thing, etc, yet succession and other forms of legislation with or without representation.
Read the wiki after you see the cheat sheet. Very interesting.
As Paul Harvey would have said, "and now you know the rest of the story."
FYI - Snopes anyone? I just wonder about the REF 3 map; a lie repeated a thousands times looks to be the truth. Wikipedia is not considered peer reviewed regardless of the peer reviews, as some scholars from notable costly Ivy League institutions ; that's more of a control of knowledge thing ; and all the while, Encyclopedias are not to be referenced in scholarly work as I am told. So encyclopedias as a body of knowledge is not good, yet it seems to be more of a control of knowledge which is a control of power; a controlling states method of servitude to the masses. Knowledge is free and should remain so, and the cost of sharing is applied fairly to the community ; responsibly. This is not a for profit situation, unless the leaders believe losing control is about allowing/giving their voters aka citizens knowledge to usurp them. hmm. a classic master/slave situation in any form of government; yet add the lobbyist and here we have a surrogate to at best make thing look and end up good, and at worst bastardize the process and results. You decide. I know the truth. Question the motivation and deep dive the players. Ethics 101.
