Prepping for more development - what do you do

I have had one heck of a few years with AI ML and Blockchain development testing.
ML - uh, did that back in 2005-2015; and we called it predictive learning (see REF 1)
AI - uh, did that back in the 90s and 2000s and we called it neural networks (see REF 2)
Blockchain - uh, did that back in 2010-2017; and we called it integrity hash block data store (see REF 3)
the real spin on all these three items is the languages used to explore and use in production.
a new colleague mentioned all the JavaScript languages and Stacks, and Frameworks that I started on 3-8 years ago, and dispensed with because they were not fully adopted and before they got started something else from MIT, Harvard, Stanford, Carnegie Mellon, Waterloo, Oxford, etc came out with the next generation of Ivy League graduates and their brain children.
It's all good. for me, SQL and JavaScript is the way to go for JSON like Cloud Integration, etc. For platform development, research and production, I will use VB.Net or C# with an OLE-DB SQL autobahn like pipeline.
Everything else one might call it to me is just a semi-mature framework on top of it somewhere in either the Microsoft or LAMP stack. What do you do with it all? Depends?
Are you in Research or Production; academia or what have you? It depends. For me, ask me the questions for the answers you seek, or tell me the problems you are trying to address and resolve en masse or just finitely, and then I'll tell you the approach, innovation, ideas, frameworks, and possible solutions with cost, time frame, and risk associated.
Whatever you do, stay positive, stay a team, remember artificial intelligence, machine learning and blockchain came from something a long time ago, and just became synthesized because of want or need.
