Have you ever noticed how bad your searching in Outlook or other parts of Microsoft Windows can be infuriating?
Well, worry not, just go into the old Control Panel, and Large Classic View, click on Search Index Options, and manage, delete, review, clean and rebuild your search options "items".
I had over 30+ folders being indexed and searched that had nothing to do with my day to day operations, and quite honestly, I never added them. Microsoft did when a folder called My Documents appeared in a backup drive or or folder on my desktop, etc. Any folder with a Library type of name, Documents, Pictures, Videos, etc... Indexing Options AI might or could be picking it up and keeping it in its grasp.
Remove the old bad search index options items and you'll be set to rebuild it and feel so much faster, fresher and cleaner.
I spent an hour going through it all and unchecking things that don't and should not be indexed because I am not going to search that area anyhow; yes, even a backup internal 8TB drive about 80% full.
