PDF files and best solutions to print and view and save

In the past year, I have had so many different PDF file support requests.
1. word can save as PDF, so you don't have to print to pdf via old adobe pdf printer driver
2. viewing a PDF via your browser is okay yet printing can scaling can get screwed up via a browser, so best to uses a real PDF client so print to printable edges
3. lots of pdf clients; foxit, adobe, bluebeam, etc
4. email attachments are now coming without the .PDF extension yet the web mail browsers can figure it out, yet real email clients cannot...
strange things are afoot and in transition since adobe acrobat 9, X, XI, standard, pro, dc... all are being phased out and the subscription service is forcing you to get to their platform, rather than a one time license pay...
