2014 - full recovery, stop the bleeding

It was 2014, and the company barely survived 2013-2014 calculated risk. lost 30% of our customer based and had a $95,000 direct annualized business loss that would be nearly impossible to recover, and a net one year gain of $28k.
so, was the experience worth it? yes and no.
did our team learn anything, yep, don't do that again. we knew within 3 months of 2013 that it was going to be painful, but we had to go through with it.. it was a promise we had to keep to ourselves.
could we have been more aggressive and brutal and just chopped all the overhead that was previously not a burden, yes and no.
in the end, the bleeding stopped and recovery began... it was painful and we had to be once again very creative and knew it would take now 3-4 years if not more to recover... it was not over.
