NAS storage devices have limited capacity due to OS selection. I have found some of the Seagate and Western Digital solutions to be limiting to 4, 8, 12, and 16TB because of their hosted OS choice; usually Windows Server of some flavor. However, other NAS storage solutions like Synology and QNAP have higher limits because they use some variant of Linux or ARM technology. That is good.

Well, I need 16TB+ and the choices are few and far between.
