Renewal of your website's SSL was interesting today, Saturday and Sunday; regardless of efforts to renew before the expiration date, something is afoot between the browsers and servers. IIS 8.5, SSL.com, generate new CSR versus renew versus RegenKey, hmmmm..... did not work the first two times, and on the 3rd attempt, still nada, and then I call my provider support, 30 seconds later, it starts working. hmmmm... that is strange...
It always happens. You are trying to be diligent, renew on the weekend before the expiration in the middle of the week, and then this happens. I have done this hundreds of times, and its always during renewal that something has to be kicked in the behind to work. I changed nothing, other than call support, tell them my issues, and suddenly things start working...
note:l ironically, IIS certificate window, import p7b cert, it shows up, immediately export it and save it, and then it sticks in the IIS certificate panel; otherwise, it disappears when you lose focus and come back.
Amazing..
more to come...
