Wifi 6 is here and the speed considerations are great. Remember, your LAN/WLAN speeds will be faster than your Internet provider for most unless your Internet provider is 1Gb/s up and down. My Charter Spectrum is 100/10 Mb/s and my wifi 6 router is 300-400 Mb/s and can peak at 1Gb/s.
Therefore, my max speed is my Internet provider choke point which is fine for now. The default Charter Spectrum for the area in outlying growing areas is 200/20 whereas I am in the downtown corridor where legacy switches are still in place so 100/10 is the standard until they get around to upgrading the core residential downtown areas.
