Importance of Data Backups, Employees Cleaning up Server

In the past few months, folks at various companies I support are cleaning up their file servers and re-arranging files and folders, deleting duplicates and triplicates of files, only to find out they made a mistake.
Then, Backups come into place, and not just the latest backup, but the backup from 2-3 weeks back.
What is important is that you have rolling backups, full, incremental, differential, etc.
I had to restored files and folders for at least 3 clients and I am glad the backup methodology we are using is correct so one can look for and re-iteratively look for, find and restore what they need.
