Thunderbird 45 missing address book entires - oh my - update to version 78

A client called, his address book is blank in Thunderbird. They were there a few days ago.
Hmmm... what version is he using, version 45 he had. the abook.mab was like 2KB, and the abook.mab.bak was 9KB, and some abook.sqlite was like 230KB. Odd, so I transfer that file to my test system with sqlite browser, and open up the 230KB file and weird entries, nothing interesting.
Well, I was like, update the dang Thunderbird. I did like 5 times and voila, up to version 78 and all is well. His addresses and all his distribution groups and lists re-appeared.
Ironically, the post says update to 78 and address book is missing and in my case, address book is fixed and all entries re-appear. Whatever. At this point, I just backed up his address book again and called it good.
