Wow, what a long weekend, and I am catching up on my blogging; 3 days behind. Oh well, its like a daily journal that gets updated as soon as you get done with a long weekend. haha.
Anyhow, a few servers and some workstations need antivirus considerations.
one client has vipre on their workstations and not updating, and also on a server. well, that one can be reconsidered, vipre, not my favorite yet gives people a sense of security. i'm more worried about rolling backups being more accurate yet its all part of the protection plan.
check your renewal dates and if annually consider with time to change before the plan auto-renews or you have a gap where you have to worry and wonder a little more than you should.
here is my run down:
* as far as PCs, windows 10 has a pretty good built in one and improving all the time. linux, you know, look it up. i know the answer or ask me.
* for Macs, definitely avg free is better than nothing. long past to believe macs are not targeted. oh yes they are.
* for servers, well, that depends; linux well, you know that answer, and for windows, i'll keep that to my chest
remember, you are only as good as your last good backup.
more to come...
