From B&H about 1 week ago, the M1 mac mini 2020 arrived and was out of stock and then it appeared. I placed my order and then noticed the unified memory at 8GB was a lock as a max. what? okay never-mind the order then.

So I read up more and this is an interesting development and talk about integrating RAM into the back-plane, my old school explanation of what happened to the architecture.

So, here we are. I will have to watch and monitor the development of the m1 mac mini 2020 edition to be higher than 16GB max ram. We should easily have 32GB at a minimum these days for a real development platform.
