I just had an interesting problem on an Apple Mac.

The spotlight search did not for some reason find a group of files and folders in Documents.

So, Apple Support was kind enough to show me and confirm yes, it happens.

The remedy is to add the folder (Wax On) to Spotlight Index privacy section and then remove it (Wax Off).

By doing so, it forces the re-indexing of that folder and folders, and sub-folders and content.

That is good to know.   This is called classic bit twiddling in my day. Wax on, Wax Off. For those of you who love your @Apple mac system, this is an odd issue that sometimes affects @Windows PC users as well.
