Over the weekend, I had to work on my video editing for some of my production footage. Well, I have used Microsoft Movie Maker 2 and Pinnacle Studio for nearly 20 years, and I tinkered with other software in the past few years, yet, now I have to get serious and really do a good job on my hundreds of hours of B roll and improve my A roll footage, plus add trailers, and intros.
So, that led me to OpenShot (
https://openshot.org) out of the 11 best open source, I have tried others yet this one I am giving it a serious GO.
I made a small donation of $50 too since I believe in doing the right thing. If you don't have skin in the game you can't say a word both positive or ask for improvements based on performance and usability and finally the output.
