On a regular basis, daily if necessary, make sure your network and Internet bandwidth measured is what you are paying for, and the latency is low.
1. Bandwidth - download/upload speeds... what are you paying for, symmetric versus asymmetric bandwidth at what level 100/10, 200/10, 400/20, 30/30, 50/50, 1000/1000, etc.
2. Latency - that is your traceroute and ping responses, average 10-30ms, average 50ms, no greater than 100ms.
3. Firewall protection; make sure you know the rules in place and tested to make sure nothing more is exposed; even with multi-pathing and multi-homing and various entries and exits to your LAN from the WAN.
That's it for today. Check with your ISP NOC if you are in doubt.
