a day ago, I wrote my article about simplifying web design for ecommerce, and it was in reference to the article "
How to Simplify Your Design" by Taras Bakusevych.
I did not read his article until today, realizing just the title was enough for me to write something on my own and post it, and then look back at his article and his references and consider my line of thought versus his.
Well, truth be known, his train of thought came from an MIT professor's book and work on
There is value in attribution, and I have both for each writer. My take on it was a little more technical and operational while their approach was more exoteric as in for the masses of generalities whereas mine might be more esoteric yet applied theory is just as valuable as pure research; both of which arefine. For example, if you want to make a wedding cake, you can fawn about all the beauty of it and how to look at it and feel about it, yet for me, let's get down and dig a little deeper and directly to the recipe and the mechanics. I guess that is what makes me a little different. Hands on engineer with design and usability based on countless experiences rather than just research.
I like both writers and their take they have a lot of nice graphics and nice english, yet where does the rubber hit the road with each. I don't see it.
The best thing to do is read all three articles, including mine and consider.
