If you have an HP color inkjet printer that has been sitting for a month, feel free to turn it on, monthly and fire it up, and print a test page that will show the cartridge levels and then do a copy of the same page in color. That will help cycle the cartridges just a little enough to remain usable.
If your cartridges are a little dry, you can usually pull them and wipe them with a web paper towel and dry them off and re-insert them and they will be fine.
LOWER YOUR DPI --- NOTE: you can also lower the DPI on your laser printer from 600 DPI to 300 DPI and save on toner and print your first page faster and subsequent pages.
