For those of you trying to get Windows 10 2004 update installed and it keeps failing, it is most likely a device security protection that Microsoft has enabled recently to prevent Windows update failure due to hardware drivers that are not the latest and have been identified as a threat to the update success. This is not very clear in their update failure message.
For now, just sit tight. Some recommend disabled device security protection yet that is a bad idea.
