Mountain Computers recommends Faronics Deep Freeze that locks down a known good computer configuration, PC and Mac, Windows 7, XP, Vista operating systems.
If a problem or threat hits the computer, save your work if you can to a USB jump drive or some external hard drive (or use the DataIgloo part of the latest version of Deep Freeze), then reboot the computer, and your computer is back to where it was when it was safe and clean. If you need to add a program, thaw the computer, add your program and test it, and then Deep Freeze your computer again and voila! Safe!
Mountain Computers uses this program and solution for nearly 4 years where tenant and guest computers are available in apartment complex main office, motel and hotel lobbies, and business centers, and universities and libraries.
